New York City resident now living
in Europe. A veteran of the
stage, her career has spanned ballet,
television, film and Broadway
- as ballerina, playwright, director,
choreographer, and creator
of In the moment for Actors and
Directors, which she teaches internationally.
She is also the creator
of Playfilled: colour Yourself In -
a series of workshops, books and
virtual self-realisation workshops
utilising colour and light.
Courses:
In the Moment for Actors
directly addresses the mastery of
the emotional and physical presence
of the artist, influencing the
overall landscape in the artist’s life.
No matter what the inner or outer
pressures, the artist must maintain
the stamina of relaxation, awareness
and devotion to sustain his/
her art. In the Moment for Actors
is about being.
In the Moment for Directors
trains the director in the art of being
who you think you are, seeing
what is in front of you, dealing
with the actor and the environment
in the moment, understanding
and reaping the gifts of collaboration,
breaking down the script,
and getting what you want despite
the restrictions and demands of
the day. In the Moment for Directors
is about seeing.
Heidi Maria Faisst:
Directing
Danish. Heidi Maria Faisst graduated
from the Danish Film School,
directing line in 2003. Since then
she has been teaching acting, partly
private classes and workshops
but also at Rødkilde Folk Highschool.
Heidi is currently working
on 2 feature films at Nimbus Film
and Barok Film, respectively.
Jacob Riewe:
Stunt
Danish. Student at the EFC 2001-
2002. Currently studying drama
at Aarhus University, while being
involved in theatre and film
productions, writing drama and
playing music. Has for the last ten
years offered stunt and special effects
services, as well as teaching.
Mamoun Hassan:
Creative Editing
English. Has written, directed,
edited and produced films since
the 60’s. He has also run the UK
government’s production organisation.
In addition he has led
many other departments, such as
the editing dept at the EICTV
Cuba, and organisations in development
and production. He
has taught direction, producing
and editing and given seminars,
throughout the world, both for
small groups and for theatre audiences
on film language and
history. He contributes regularly
to The Times Higher Education
Supplement and other national
newspapers. He has taught directing,

Lars Bo Kimergaard:
Editing
Danish. Editor and film director.
Phd. Film Science 1991, BA
medicin. Since 1985 he has edited
more than 80 shorts and documentaries.
Since 1999 he has run
his company KimerFilm. External
Lecturer on Film and Media,
University of Copenhagen and
has taught at the National Danish
Film School, the EFC, the
School for Shorts & Documentaries,
the University of Odense etc.
Has written articles on Carl Th.
Dreyer, documentaries, the art of
editing and recent Danish film.
For the past four years he has been
creative editor on courses performed
at the EFC for the Guild
of Actors. Since 2003 he has been
the chairman of the Filmworkers´
Association.
Barbara Kaad Ostenfeldt:Production/Movie
Magic
Danish. BA in Mass Communication
from The Advanced School of
Mass Communication in Yaounde,
Cameroon, with focus on TV production
and journalism. 1997-
2000. Returned to Denmark after
9 years abroad, among others in
Brussels where she worked for a
Danish office of lobbyism and was
board member of the Danish Association
in Belgium.
Got admitted to the European
Film College in 2001-2002, after
which she worked on a threemonth
contract as editor and
camera operator for Copenhagen
Media Facility in Copenhagen. In
the beginning of 2003 she became
production manager on a film
project in Århus (Potemkin Film
& TV), where she made her first
feature film. Closely followed by
another job as production manager
for an educational language film
for the University of Sorbonne,
Paris, where she also carried out
the task as assistant director and
assisted with the final editing.
Course:
Production management
How do you keep track of where
to shoot, when to shoot and who
to shoot...! I am not talking about
animal hunting seasons, but how
to organise the shooting of a film.
The course will provide you with
indispensable tools, to help you
organising the making of a film
(in all its aspects) and show how to
administrate the budgeted money
in an easy, and logic, way. Beside
Excel, we will work with Movie
Magic Scheduling... a tool you
easily can become addicted to! So
watch out - attending the course is
at your own risk!!
Gerd Fredholm:
Directing
Danish. Director. Joined the Danish
Film School when it opened in
1966. Made his debut with Den
forsvundne fuldmægtig (71) - his
latest feature is At klappe med en
hånd (01). Acted as a consultant
at the Danish Film Institute (73-
75), has been employed at DR-
TV´s theatrical department and
the Danish Film School teaching
directing.
