Le Parlement Européen des Jeunes France
The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in France
The European Youth Parliament has been present in France since the EYP’s conception in 1987.
The current French Committee was officially registered as an association in 1994. Every year
the French branch of the EYP organises two selection conferences, one European forum, many
regional sessions, one survey of young people, training sessions for its members, series of debates,
lectures, exhibitions and meetings. EYP France has been officially recognised by several ministries,
namely by the Education and Youth Office, which gave us the specific status of a complement
to education. In 2009 the main objective was to involve more vocational schools to diversify our
membership and fight against elitism. Respecting the two official languages of the European Youth
Parliament, all of our events are held both in French and in English.
