The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in Spain
EYP Spain is a young National Committee, which is still in a process of consolidation. Despite
this it is made up of plenty of hard-working and enthusiastic people. Past sponsors of EYP Spain
have included the Girona city hall, Sant Cugat city hall, Aigües Sant Aniol, Frit Ravich, Congelats
Despuig, Bella Easo, Danone and Red Bull.
Activities in 2009
Iberian Forum
EYP Spain’s most ambitious and challenging project so far.
Due to its previous collaborations with EYP, the city of
Girona was chosen as the ideal location to host this event.
Its organisations and inhabitants welcomed the Iberian Forum
with open arms, demonstrating once again the city’s
willingness to collaborate with the EYP in order to create
a successful event. The participants had the chance to visit
the Catalan parliament, where part of the General Assembly
took place. They also enjoyed a nocturnal visit to the
Dalí Museum and a day at the beach on the Costa Brava,
where the Mayor of Palamos welcomed the participants
in person. The Forum took place in Girona from August
13 - 20.
