The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in Georgia
EYP in Georgia started its activities as an initiative group in early 2007 and was officially recognised
as a full member of the organisation at the EYP International Session in Prague, in April
2008. All activities carried out by EYP Georgia have been covered by public and private TV and
news agencies. EYP Georgia maintains strong cooperation with Tbilisi City Hall, The Georgian
Department of Youth and Sports Affairs, Tbilisi State University, Public school N51 and the local
governments of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Imereti and Shida Kartli regions. EYP Georgia runs activities
in 6 of 12 regions of the country. Amongst the plans for 2010 are the 4th National selection
conference in Tbilisi, the 2nd International forum in Batumi and a few smaller sessions. The main
aim is to raise knowledge of European-related issues among school pupils and to expand EYP activities
to all regions of Georgia. Every EYP session represents a unique opportunity for Georgia
to introduce the country’s culture to the rest of the Europe and to work together in a group with
young Europeans discussing the challenges facing the continent.

3rd National Selection conference
At this National Session, held from June
26 - 28 in Tbilisi, delegates for International
Sessions in Helsinki and Tromso
were selected.

1st International Summer Forum
This international event of EYP Georgia
hosted 130 participants from 13 different
countries and took place from August 7 - 13
in Batumi.
