European Youth Parliament – Ukraine
The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in Ukraine
The international youth NGO “European Youth Parliament – Ukraine” is an apolitical, non-profit
organisation that represents a National Committee of the European Youth Parliament in Ukraine.
EYP Ukraine has been successfully operating in Ukraine since 2000. EYP Ukraine is a youth
initiative that has been set up by young people, students of Kiev Universities, and has been further
developed, managed and run by the young people aged 16 – 23. EYP Ukraine’s aim is to promote
the idea of Ukraine’s integration into European society among Ukrainian youth by means of
open forums and dialogue. The main form of EYP Ukraine’s activity is a session. Sessions follow
the model of the work of the European Parliament and usually last for four days. The result of a
session is a resolution, which includes the ideas and decisions, discussed and accepted by the group.
Usually there are winter sessions in Lviv (West), Summer session in Sumy (East), sessions in Kyiv
and Khmelnytskyi. This year EYP-Ukraine had also introduced a new form of activity – InterRail
Sessions: 2-day mini-sessions were held in all regions of Ukraine.
