Applications should be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, on or before Wednesday, 10th June, 1953, accompanied by a deposit of £4 3s. 9d. All applications received on or before that date will be treated as having been received on the closing day, and in the event of there being more applications than one received, the application to be granted will be decided by the Land Board. Special Conditions. The maximum area allowed to be selected by any one person is limited to 2,500 acres. The selector or his agent must take up residence within one year from the date of approval and make it his habitual residence for the following five years. IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the Plantagenet locations listed in the Schedule hereto have been set apart for the purpose of Special Settlement, pursuant to the provisions of Part V (Divisions 1 and 4) of the Land Act, 1933- 1950, and subject to the regulations under the said Act as modified by the special conditions set out hereunder. Such land is available for selection, subject to survey, classification, pricing and the provision of any necessary roads. Special Conditions. Applications are limited to areas not exceeding 800 acres in all, with a maximum area of 500 adres of cultivable land suitable for establishing pasture. One-fifth of the cultivable area must be cleared within three years and two-fifths within five years from date of inception of the lease. Such clearing must be at a stage sufficient to establish pasture. Nine-tenths of the cleared area must be sown to pasture with superphosphate within 15 months of clearing. Schedule. IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been set apart for the purposes of Special Settlement, pursuant to the provisions of section 84 of the Land Act, 1933-1950. Such lands are available for selection under Part V (Divisions 1 and 4) of the said Act and the regulations thereunder, subject to survey, timber conditions, classification, pricing and to the special conditions enumerated hereunder. All applications must be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, on or before Wednesday, 10th June, 1953, together with a deposit of £8 lOs. The provisions of section 135 of the Land Act, 1933-1950, relating to determination of simultaneous applications by a Land Board shall apply. The selector will be required to pay the price of the land, together with prescribed survey fees, with interest on such survey fees, by half-yearly payments over a period of 30 years. The selector shall, within five years of the date of commencement of the term of his lease, take up residence in person on the land comprised therein, and shall make it his usual home without any other habitual residence for the next ensuing five years of the term, and failing compliance with these conditions, the lease shall be liable to forfeiture. The lessee will be required to clear one-fifth of the area within two years of the granting of the lease and an additional two-fifths before the expiration of five years. The cleared area shall be sown down to pasture or developed for other agricultural purposes within two years of the completion of the clearing operations. Applications for leases may be approved subject to approval of survey, and to the provisions of such roads and reserves as the Minister may deem necessary. No person shall be granted or hold more than one of the blocks specified, and no transfer of a lease will be allowed without the special approval of the Minister. After approval of an application, the selector will be issued with a conditional purchase lease, under the provisions of sections 47 and 86 of the Land Act, 1933-1950, subject to the foregoing modifications. APPLICATIONS are invited for the leasing of the land comprised within reserve 6996 (Hester Lots 15 and 26), containing 1 acre 21 perches. This land is available for leasing, under section 32 of the Land Act, 1933-1950, for the purpose of a "Sawmill Site" for a term of five years at a rental of £5 per annum, subject to the following conditions :- The lessee shall erect and put into operation a sawmill site on the said lands within 12 months of the date of commencement of the term of the lease. Failure to operate such sawmill for any period exceeding six months shall render the lease liable to forfeiture. No compensation shall be payable to the lessee for imorovements which may remain on the said land at the expiration or earlier determination of the lease, but the lessee shall have the right to remove sich improvements within a period of three months after such expiration or earlier determination. The lessee shall at the expiration or earlier determination of the lease leave the said land in a clean and tidy condition free from all sawdust, waste material, or other debris and shall fill in and level off all excavations, to the satisfaction of the Minister for Lands. APPLICATIONS are invited under section 117 of the Land Act, 1933-1950, for leasing the above lot for the purpose of poultry farming for a term of ninety-nine (99) years, subject to the following conditions:- No compensation will be payable at the expiration or earlier determination of the lease for improvements effected by the lessee. The annual rental payable for the first 10 years of the term of the lease will be eighteen shillings (18s.). The rental shall be subject to reappraisement by the Minister at intervals of not less than 10 years. The lessee shall fence the lot on its surveyed boundaries within two years from the date of commencement of the lease, with a fence capable of resisting great and small stock and shall have planted within three years from the date of commencement of the lease at least one-tenth of its area with vines or fruit trees or cultivated bona fide as a vegetable garden, or alternatively, onequarter of the area shall be cleared and otherwise cultivated.
