Pursuant to section 610 of the Local Government Act 1960, the Shire of Katanning hereby gives<br />
notice that it proposes to borrow money by the sale of debenture, repayable at the office of the<br />
lender, by equal half yearly instalments of principal and interest for the following terms and<br />
purpose-<br />
Loan <strong>No</strong>. 121 of $3 000 for the term of two 2 years as a Self-Supporting Loan for the Katanning<br />
Pony Club for the purpose of completing an ablution block at Carrolup.<br />
Plans, specifications and estimates as required by section 609 are available for inspection at the<br />
office of the Council during business hours for thirty five 35 days after publication of this notice.<br />

MAIN ROADS ENGINEERING CADETS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS<br />
<strong>1991</strong><br />
Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council on the recommenda<br />
tion of the Commissioner of Main Roads.<br />
Citation<br />
1. <strong>The</strong>se regulations may be cited as the Main Roads Engineering Cadets<br />
Amendment Regulations <strong>1991</strong>.<br />
Principal regulations<br />
2. In these regulations, the Main Roads Engineering<br />
1982* are referred to as the principal regulations.<br />
Cadets Regulations<br />

Regulation 2 amended<br />
3. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended bya<br />
deleting the definition of "Institute"; and<br />
b deleting the definition of "University" and substituting the following<br />
definition-<br />
"University" means the University of Western Australia or the<br />
Curtin University of Technology; ".<br />
Regulation 4 amended<br />

Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting paragraph<br />
Regulation 10 amended<br />
5. Regulation 10 of the principal regulations is amended by repealing subreg<br />
ulation 3 and substituting the following subregulation-<br />
3 Subject to<br />
commence-<br />
subregulation 4 the salary paid to a cadet shall<br />
a at a rate equivalent to item 5 of the scale; or<br />
b in the case of a cadet who has completed and passed one or more<br />
years of a University course before entering into a cadetship<br />
agreement at a ,rate equivalent to the item on the scale that the<br />
Commissioner considers appropriate having regard to the portion<br />
of a University course that the cadet has completed,<br />
and shall increase to the rate equivalent to the next succeeding item on<br />
the scale at the completion of each year of the term of the cadetship if<br />
the Commissioner is satisfied with examination results obtained by the<br />
cadet in his University course during that year.<br />
Schedule 1 amended<br />

6. Schedule 1 to the principal regulations is amended in column 2 by deleting<br />
"Western Australian Institute of Technology" in paragraph b of each class and<br />
substituting in each case the following-<br />
" Curtin University of Technology ".
