Proposed Self Supporting Loan
No. 121-$3 000
Pursuant to section 610 of the Local Government Act 1960, the Shire of Katanning hereby gives
notice that it proposes to borrow money by the sale of debenture, repayable at the office of the
lender, by equal half yearly instalments of principal and interest for the following terms and
purpose-
Loan No. 121 of $3 000 for the term of two 2 years as a Self-Supporting Loan for the Katanning
Pony Club for the purpose of completing an ablution block at Carrolup.
Plans, specifications and estimates as required by section 609 are available for inspection at the
office of the Council during business hours for thirty five 35 days after publication of this notice.

MAIN ROADS ENGINEERING CADETS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council on the recommenda
tion of the Commissioner of Main Roads.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Main Roads Engineering Cadets
Amendment Regulations 1991.
Principal regulations
2. In these regulations, the Main Roads Engineering
1982* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 2 amended
3. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended bya
deleting the definition of "Institute"; and
b deleting the definition of "University" and substituting the following
definition-
"University" means the University of Western Australia or the
Curtin University of Technology; ".
Regulation 4 amended

Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting paragraph

5. Regulation 10 of the principal regulations is amended by repealing subreg
ulation 3 and substituting the following subregulation-
3 Subject to

subregulation 4 the salary paid to a cadet shall
a at a rate equivalent to item 5 of the scale; or
b in the case of a cadet who has completed and passed one or more
years of a University course before entering into a cadetship
agreement at a ,rate equivalent to the item on the scale that the
Commissioner considers appropriate having regard to the portion
of a University course that the cadet has completed,
and shall increase to the rate equivalent to the next succeeding item on
the scale at the completion of each year of the term of the cadetship if
the Commissioner is satisfied with examination results obtained by the
cadet in his University course during that year.
Schedule 1 amended

6. Schedule 1 to the principal regulations is amended in column 2 by deleting
"Western Australian Institute of Technology" in paragraph b of each class and
substituting in each case the following-
" Curtin University of Technology ".
