sources from the Interior Cedar Hemlock zone. Mean tree<br />
volume of the Skykomish provenance was 32 percent larger<br />
than Salmon Arm, the largest interior provenance. Sources<br />
from the south-western US survived poorly and grew<br />

have all died. Forward selections were made with the best<br />
Submaritime provenances (Figure 11). Pollen was collected<br />
from these selections to include these trees in the secondgeneration<br />
Interior Douglas-fir crossing program (Figure 12).<br />
