NARRATOR.<br />
And it occurred, that when <strong>the</strong> time came due him to be taken up to Heaven, he resolutely set his face to go to Jerusalem and sent out<br />
messengers before him. <strong>The</strong> messengers left and went into a Samaritan village to make preparations for him. However, <strong>the</strong> people<br />
<strong>the</strong>re would not receive him because he was only passing through on his journey to Jerusalem. When his disciples James and John<br />
saw this, <strong>the</strong>y said:<br />
JAMES/JOHN.<br />
Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven and consume <strong>the</strong>m even as Elijah had done?<br />
NARRATOR.<br />
But he turned and rebuked <strong>the</strong>m:<br />
JESUS.<br />
You don't know what sort <strong>of</strong> Spirit you are <strong>of</strong>. For <strong>the</strong> Son <strong>of</strong> Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
