NARRATOR.<br />
After <strong>the</strong>se things, <strong>Jesus</strong> remained in Galilee. He could not stay in Judaea because <strong>the</strong> Jews were out to kill him. As <strong>the</strong> Jewish Feast<br />
<strong>of</strong> Tabernacles drew near, his bro<strong>the</strong>rs said to him:<br />
BROTHERS.<br />
Why don't you leave this place and go into Judaea so that your disciples can see <strong>the</strong> works you're doing. Nobody does anything in<br />
secret if he's personally interested in being publicly recognized. If you're going to do <strong>the</strong>se things, let <strong>the</strong> whole world see what you're<br />
doing.<br />
NARRATOR.<br />
For not even his bro<strong>the</strong>rs believed in him.<br />
JESUS.<br />
<strong>The</strong> season for me has not yet arrived and it is not <strong>the</strong> time. But your time and season are always at hand. <strong>The</strong> world can't hate you,<br />
but it does hate me, because I give <strong>the</strong> testimony about it, that <strong>the</strong> things that are done in it are evil. You go up to <strong>the</strong> festival; but as<br />
for me, <strong>the</strong> season when my time has fully ripened is still to come.<br />
NARRATOR.<br />
Having said this to <strong>the</strong>m, his bro<strong>the</strong>rs left and went up to <strong>the</strong> festival while he stayed behind in Galilee. However, when <strong>the</strong>y had<br />
departed for <strong>the</strong> festival, <strong>the</strong>n he also went up to <strong>the</strong> festival but did so quite discretely, not drawing attention to himself. At <strong>the</strong><br />
festival, <strong>the</strong> Jews were on <strong>the</strong> lookout for him.<br />
