asked for, Barabbas, who had been imprisoned for rioting and murder and handed <strong>Jesus</strong> over to <strong>the</strong>m to deal with as <strong>the</strong>y pleased. He<br />
released Barabbas to <strong>the</strong>m, but <strong>Jesus</strong>, he had flogged and delivered him to <strong>the</strong>m to be crucified. When <strong>the</strong> guards had finished<br />
mocking him, <strong>the</strong>y took <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> cloak and dressed him in his own clo<strong>the</strong>s and led him away to be crucified.<br />
