N O T I C E S<br />
SECURITY<br />
Students who live in <strong>College</strong> are advised always to shut the windows and lock the door <strong>of</strong> their<br />
rooms when they go out however briefly, and not to leave money, cheque books or other<br />
valuables lying about in their rooms. A similar pattern <strong>of</strong> security should be adopted by those<br />
who live in <strong>College</strong> houses and rented accommodation. If you see a suspicious-looking person<br />
ask if you can help and why they are t<strong>here</strong>. If dissatisfied with the response, report at once to<br />
the Porters. The <strong>College</strong> takes all reasonable precautions, including CCTV coverage, but is<br />
unable to accept responsibility for losses.<br />
PHOTOCOPYING<br />
The three photocopiers for Junior Members are situated in the basement, first and second floor<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Library.<br />
BURSARY (ACCOUNTS) DEPARTMENT<br />
Room 6 (V Staircase) will be open for the payment <strong>of</strong> <strong>College</strong> bills and collecting grant<br />
cheques from Monday to Friday during times displayed outside the <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
TUTORS<br />
The hours at which Tutors are normally available to see their students are displayed outside the<br />
Porters' Lodge and on the Tutors' Notice Board. Tutors will make themselves available at any<br />
time to deal with an emergency. Communication by email is effective.<br />
DIRECTORS OF STUDIES<br />
Notices are posted outside the Gatehouse Porters' Lodge and on the Director <strong>of</strong> Studies noticeboard,<br />
which indicate the times they are normally available to see students. Communication by<br />
email is effective.<br />
GUEST ROOMS<br />
A limited number <strong>of</strong> guest rooms are available in <strong>College</strong> and can be booked in advance<br />
through the Domestic Manager.<br />
COMPUTER ROOMS<br />
The Computing Officer may from time to time make rules for the efficient running <strong>of</strong> the<br />
computer rooms. These will be displayed in the room in question. The <strong>College</strong> will take a<br />
serious view <strong>of</strong> the misuse <strong>of</strong> its computing facilities.<br />
It is forbidden to bring food or drink into any <strong>of</strong> the computer rooms or to unplug any existing<br />
equipment.<br />
Students must not allow anyone who is not a <strong>College</strong> member to have access to the computer<br />
rooms.<br />
MUSIC ROOMS<br />
Keys to these may be booked out at the Porters’ Lodge subject to limitations applied from time<br />
to time. It is forbidden to bring food or drink into the Auditorium Music Rooms. Articles may<br />
not be placed on musical instruments. Musical instruments may not be used as seats. Any<br />
damage caused will be charged to the last user.<br />
