27. Disciplinary action will be taken against any student who is discovered climbing over<br />

fences or gates into <strong>College</strong>, and a most serious view will be taken <strong>of</strong> any<br />

inconvenience caused to neighbours <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong>.<br />

28. Students must not walk on the lawns except when special permission is given by a<br />

<strong>College</strong> Officer.<br />

29. Deposition <strong>of</strong> litter in the <strong>College</strong> is a punishable <strong>of</strong>fence.<br />

30. Disciplinary action will be taken against any Junior Member who damages <strong>College</strong><br />

property. In the event <strong>of</strong> damage to or misuse <strong>of</strong> <strong>College</strong> property by a Junior Member<br />

or Junior Members, those concerned will be responsible for the costs <strong>of</strong> making good<br />

such damage.<br />

31. Games with balls or other projectiles are not permitted on the main <strong>College</strong> site. Roller<br />

Blades, Skate Boards or Scooters are not to be used within the <strong>College</strong> grounds<br />

SMOKING POLICY<br />

32. Smoking is not permitted within the perimeter <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> buildings, including<br />

gardens, bedrooms and public rooms or within 7 metres <strong>of</strong> the exterior perimeter <strong>of</strong> the<br />

buildings. Smoking is not permitted within <strong>of</strong>f-site <strong>College</strong> properties. The Smoking<br />

at Work Policy <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> identifies the Storeys Way and Huntingdon Road <strong>College</strong><br />

Car Parks as the only public areas within its grounds w<strong>here</strong> smoking may take place.<br />

Any member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> found to be in breach <strong>of</strong> this regulation will be<br />

automatically referred to the Dean.<br />

MOTOR CARS, MOTOR CYCLES AND BICYCLES<br />

33. The <strong>University</strong> Regulations do not in general allow undergraduates to keep motor<br />

vehicles, including motor cycles, in <strong>Cambridge</strong>. Exemptions are made, however, for<br />

special reasons and particular uses. Permission to keep a vehicle should be sought in<br />

the first place from the Senior Tutor and t<strong>here</strong>after from the <strong>University</strong> Motor Proctor.<br />

34. Those resident in <strong>College</strong> who have the necessary permissions from the Motor Proctor<br />

and the Senior Tutor to keep a motor vehicle in <strong>Cambridge</strong> must obtain, from the Head<br />

Porter, a car-parking badge, which must be clearly displayed, in order to use the <strong>College</strong><br />

car park. Undergraduates and postgraduates with such permission may normally park<br />

their cars and motorcycles in the car park provided at the Huntingdon Road side <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>College</strong>. Use <strong>of</strong> <strong>College</strong> car parks may be temporarily suspended by the Bursar.<br />

Students without such permission, or who fail to observe a car park suspension, will be<br />

liable to a fine <strong>of</strong> £20 per day.<br />

35. Bicycles:<br />

(a) All student bicycles must be registered with the Porters Lodge within the first<br />

two weeks <strong>of</strong> residence period <strong>of</strong> the new academic year. Each bicycle must be<br />
