Jonathan’s career began at Goldman Sachs, where he was fortunate
enough to be invited to take part in their Internal Mentoring Program,
which completely took his private wealth business to another level and
taught him personally how valuable mentoring can be if done properly.
He set up the Rockstar Mentoring Group in 2007 to allow all
businesses of all sizes to benefit from what Jonathan calls REAL
Mentoring. The average Rockstar mentor has started, built up and
sold a UK company for £18m and the company has dozens of these
mentors all over the country, willing to help businesses from start-ups,
right up to large SMEs.
Within the group, there is Rockstar Mentoring
(www.rockstargroup.co.uk), the traditional one-to-one, face-to-face
mentoring platform; Rockstar Live is the very exciting and cost
effective online mentoring portal – ideal for start-ups to get access
to the best mentors in the UK for a fraction of the price
(www.rockstarmentoringlive.com); and finally, its incredibly successful
mentoring program for entrepreneurs, Rockstar Start-Up Loans
(www.rockstarstartuploans.co.uk). This is the number one delivery
partner for the James Caan led Start-Up Loans program and has
so far provided start-up capital and free mentoring for hundreds of
entrepreneurs around the UK.
Clippy McKenna is the founder of the Clippy’s brand.
She’s an everyday Mum who is obsessed with brilliant food.
She started out in 2008 with a fascination for hairclips
(hence the nickname) and two apple trees. Selling out at
her first farmers market, Clippy secured distribution into
UK supermarkets Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Ocado, E.H. and
Booths, as well as exporting to the USA and China.
Clippy has travelled across the globe, savouring delights from
apple butter to green figs picked from Atlantic rooftops,
to camping under the stars. These memories have inspired
Clippy’s taste buds to create diverse flavour combinations.
This explains why BBC Countryfile commended Clippy
as the, “Pick of the best… preservers.” Clippy won
‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2012’ at the Inspiring
Women’s Awards. In 2012, Clippy McKenna singlehandedly
took on the EU & UK Government to win the
right to call her lower sugar level, fruit-tastic products
‘jam’. In the same year, ‘Woman & Home’ described
Clippy as a, “Great British Foodie.”
My Eight Pieces Of Advice – From
Farmers Market To Supermarket
Clippy turned her dream idea into a thriving success story with
her products now stocked in major UK supermarkets, as well as
exporting to the USA and China. It all started with a passion for
brilliant food. Hear the inspiring story first hand of how Clippy has
taken her love of food from her kitchen table to farmers markets
and on to supplying international supermarkets.
