Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin
have been brilliant for business, providing invaluable exposure to
contacts, potential clients and investors. As a business owner, it
is vital that you embrace social media and utilise it to its fullest.
Equally, it’s always nice to get out from behind your computer
screen and do business the old fashioned way – face to face.
THE WALL
All too often your business cards will end
up tucked away within the dark recesses
of your wallet or back pocket, never to
see the light of day again, not doing
much for your business.
So, as a solution to this age-old business problem, The
Business Show has built an enormous wall…
The idea is simple:
1. Jot down what your business is looking for (a web designer,
a sales team, a logo, etc).
2. Pin it to the Business Connections wall, along with your
business card.
3. Come back at the end of the day to collect all the other
relevant business cards pinned to yours.
That’s it. Now you have contacts of the people and companies
who can help provide whatever it is your business is looking for.
And the system works both ways, so if you see a business that
may like your help, pin your card to theirs and pick up some
extra clients! So there you are. A chance to finally put that shiny
new business card to work.
Business Connections is an area open to
everyone at any time, regardless of the
business you run or service you offer. But,
if you’re keen to network with people
offering a particular service or those who
operate within a certain industry, we’ve
allotted timeslots to industries and services.
