1. Open fuel valve (a 2 ).<br />
2. Push the engine throttle lever to “run” (b 2 ).<br />
3. Pull out starter handle until you feel strong resistance,<br />
then let it return slowly.<br />
4. Push down decompression lever (c).<br />

Note: Lever will return automatically when the starter<br />
is pulled.<br />
5. Pull starter handle to start engine. If engine does not<br />
start, repeat steps 3 and 4.<br />
CAUTION: NEVER operate engine without air cleaner.<br />
Engine will be damaged.<br />

To Stop<br />
Place the engine throttle in the “Stop” position (b 1 ). If<br />
engine keeps running, stop engine by closing fuel valve<br />
(a 1 ).<br />
DO NOT stop engine using the decompression lever.<br />
