4.7 Cleaning Sediment Cup<br />
Turn fuel valve off. Remove sediment cup (a) and O-ring<br />
(b). Wash them thoroughly in a nonflammable solvent.<br />
Dry them and re-install. Turn fuel valve on and check for<br />
leaks.<br />
4.8 Adjusting Idle Speed<br />
To adjust idle speed:<br />
1. Start engine and allow it to warm up to normal operating<br />
temperature.<br />
2. Turn throttle stop screw (c) in to decrease speed, out<br />
to increase speed.<br />
4.9 Cleaning Pump<br />
After pumping water containing a large amount of dirt or<br />
debris, clean out inside of pump housing.<br />
1. Remove drain plug (d) from pump housing and drain<br />
any water left in pump.<br />
2. Remove the four screws (e) holding the pump cover<br />
and remove cover.<br />
3. Clean out dirt and debris. Inspect impeller and volute<br />
for wear.<br />

The impeller may develop sharp edges. Use care<br />
when cleaning around impeller to prevent getting<br />
