AUX Interfaces
i
AUX-IN adapters
AUX-IN adapters, also known as LINE-IN adapters allow you to
connect appropriate car radios with any MP3 or DVD players etc.
The radio-specific adapters are connected simply by plug & play,
without any tinkering. The models available are listed below.
The adapter is connected directly to the changer control of the
radio/navigation system. So you press the CD button on the
radio as usual, but now hear the music from your portable MP3
or DVD player. The sound signal from the player is fed to the
adapter via an RCA socket, i.e. you generally also need an adapter
from the headphone or line output (3.5mm jack plug) of your
player to RCA.
You will find AUX-IN interfaces for iPod and Mini iPod in the
chapter Mobile Entertainment on page 9!
