Diagnostic characters: Tricolporate pollen <strong>of</strong> globular shape. The three slender colpi<br />

converge in symmetrical arrangement at the poles. Pores small, somewhat lalongate.<br />

Exine laevigate, two-layered, 0.5-1.5 ,urn thick.<br />

Measurements: 13-13.5 ,urn X 11-13.5 ,urn in size.<br />

With / length ratio: 0.85-1. O.<br />

Stratigraphic range: Late Paleocene to Pliocene in <strong>Middle</strong> Europe.<br />

Germany: <strong>Middle</strong> Eocene (Helmstedt); Late Eocene to Early Oligocene<br />

(Hessen); <strong>Middle</strong> Oligocene (Bergisch Gladbach); Oligocene (Hessen);<br />

Late Oligocene (St. Augustin); Miocene (Hessen, Rhineland).<br />

Belgium: Late Paleocene (Epinois, Locksbergen); Oligocene (Henis) .<br />
