Remarks: C. megaexactus looks like C. exactus, but the former is larger than the<br />

later.<br />

Botanical affinity: Cyrillaceae, Cyrilla.<br />

Diagnostic characters: Tricolporate pollen grain <strong>of</strong> almost circular contour in polar<br />

sight. Margocolpus broad, embracing 18- 20 pm <strong>of</strong> the near-eqautorial circumstance,<br />

gradually tapering towards apices, baculate O. 5 pm long) and framed<br />

by a strengthened wall (margo, 2 - 3 pm in width). Round endexinous pores, 5<br />

pm in diameter. Endexine O. 5- 1 pm thick; columella 2. 5 pm high; mesocolpium<br />

tectate-reticulate; lumina 2 - 2.5 pm wide at equator, 1 -1.5 pm wide at apices.<br />

Measurements: 49 X 47 pm in equatorial diameters.<br />

Previous records: Caribbean: <strong>Middle</strong> Eocene-Pleistocene; Nigeria: Late Eocene­<br />

Oligocene; Borneo: Late Eocene-Pleistocen.<br />

Remarks: The single specimen which was observed is very similar to the pollen <strong>of</strong><br />

Caesalpinia coriaria Wildenow (Fabaceae).<br />

Botanical affinity: Fabaceae (Leguminosae), Caesalpinia.<br />
