Courses, Elective Courses and Applicationoriented<br />
Courses.<br />
A learner has to opt for a minimum of 48 credits from<br />
the Elective Courses in Commerce and the remaining 8<br />
to 16 credits from the elective courses of other disciplines<br />
such as Computer Science, Hindi, English, Political<br />
Science, History, Economics, Public Administration,<br />
Sociology, Rural Development and Mathematics.<br />
Bachelor of Commerce with Major in<br />
Accountancy and Finance (B.Com, A&F)<br />
This 3-year programme is designed and developed in<br />
collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants<br />
of India, exclusively for Chartered Accountancy students.<br />
Learners can simultaneously study B.Com (A&F)<br />
programme with Chartered Accountancy First Stage<br />
offered by ICAI. Once a learner clears the Chartered<br />
Accountancy First Stage, credit transfer is given for<br />
those courses in this programme. The main objective of<br />
this programme is to develop skills and competencies of<br />
the learners, in the field of accountancy and finance.<br />
Candidates who fulfil the following three conditions are<br />
eligible for admission: (i) 10+2 or its equivalent, (ii)<br />
passed Common Proficiency Test/PE-I/ Foundation from<br />
ICAI, and (iii) registration in Professional Competence<br />
Course/PE-II/Intermediate (Chartered Accountancy First<br />
Stage) of ICAI. Learners who have already completed<br />
PCC/PE-II/Intermediate of Chartered Accountancy are<br />
also eligible for admission in this programme.<br />
Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Corporate<br />
Affairs and Administration (B.Com, CA & A)<br />
This is similar to B.Com A & F, designed and developed<br />
in collaboration with the Institute of Company Secretaries<br />
of India, exclusively for the Company Secretaryship<br />
students, who can study it with Company Secretaryship<br />
foundation programme offered by ICSI. Once a student<br />
passes Company Secretaryship foundation and executive<br />
programme automatic credit transfer is given in this<br />
B.Com programme for all those students. The main<br />
objective of this programme is to develop skills and<br />
competencies of the student in the field of corporate<br />
affairs and administration.<br />
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible<br />
for admission :<br />
a) 10+2 or its equivalence; and<br />
b) Registration in Company Secretaryship.<br />
Candidates who have passed Company Secretaryship<br />
Intermediate/Executive Programme shall also be eligible<br />
for admission.<br />
Bachelor of Commerce with Major in<br />
Financial and Cost Accounting (B.Com,<br />
F&CA)<br />
This is similar to B.Com A & F, designed and developed<br />
in collaboration with The Institute of Cost and Works<br />
Accountants of India (ICWAI), exclusively for the ICWAI<br />
students, who can simultaneously study this programme<br />
with ICWAI Foundation/Intermediate course offered by<br />
ICWAI. Once a student passes ICWAI foundation/<br />
Intermediate courses, automatic credit transfer is given<br />
in this B.Com with major in Financial and Cost<br />
Accounting programme. Main objectives of this<br />
programme is to develop skills and competencies of the<br />
student in the field of Finance and Cost Accounting.<br />
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible<br />
for admission:<br />
a) 10+2 or its equivalence; and<br />
b) Registration in ICWAI Foundation Course.<br />
Candidates who have passed ICWAI Intermediate course<br />
shall also be eligible for admission.<br />
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM)<br />
This comprises the compulsory courses that are part of<br />
the MBA programme.<br />
Specialisation Post Graduate Diploma<br />
Programmes<br />
The Specialisation Programmes in functional areas are<br />
available in 4 streams; Human Resource Management,<br />
Financial Management, Operations Management and<br />
Marketing Management. A learner has to complete any<br />
five courses of his/her choice in the chosen specialization<br />
stream.<br />
Post Graduate Diploma in International<br />
Business Operations (PGDIBO)<br />
This programme is aimed at equipping the learners with<br />
the necessary conceptual, entrepreneurial, and analytical<br />
skills required for handling International Business<br />
Operations. The curriculum focuses on the applied<br />
aspects.<br />
Post Graduate Diploma in Finance Markets<br />
Practice (PGDFMP)<br />
This programme is being offered in collaboration with<br />
the Financial Technologies Knowledge Management Co.,<br />
Mumbai, with the following objectives:<br />
to inculcate among students, knowledge of financial<br />
markets and also impart skills required in the<br />
operations of the financial markets;<br />
