MARKO IVANOVIĆ
born in Prague in 1976, as a child he lived in
the former Yugoslawia and returned to Czechoslovakia
when he was 15. He studied conducting
and composition at the Prague Conservatory
and at the Academy of Performing Arts,
where his teachers were conductors Radomil
Eliška and Jiří Bělohlávek and composer Václav
Riedlbauch. He also attended a composition
course in Utrecht, Holland, and in 2008
he successfully defended his doctoral thesis in
composition and the theory of composition at
the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy
of Performing Arts in Prague. As a conductor
he has worked with various Czech and foreign
orchestras: the Prague Symphony Orchestra,
the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Bohuslav
Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, Filharmonia
Sudecka (Poland), the Toyama Academy
Orchestra (Japan) etc. In 2003 he won a prize
at G. Fitelberg’s International Young Conductors’
Competition in Katowice, Poland. At first
he worked for the National Theatre in Prague only as an outside collaborator (P. Glass: La Belle et la Bête,
B. Britten: Curlew River), but in 2006 he began to work there full-time and as a conductor he has contributed
to the production of Mozart’s opera La clemenza di Tito, A. Březina’s political “opera-process”
called Zítra se bude…, the jazz opera, A Walk Worthwile, etc. Since 2009 he has been the chief conductor
of the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice. This year, Marko Ivanović had a great success
conducting the Prague Symphony Orchestra at the Prague Spring International Music Festival. His compositions
are played on stage at many concerts and festivals both at home and abroad. He is also a soughtafter
composer of incidental music and film scores.
KOMORNÍ FILHARMONIE PARDUBICE
byla založena v roce 1969. Jejím prvním šéfdirigentem byl dirigent Libor Pešek, pod jehož vedením
orchestr brzy získal pozoruhodnou uměleckou úroveň. Na uměleckém růstu orchestru se podíleli také
další šéfdirigenti – Libor Hlaváček, Petr Altrichter, Bohumil Kulínský, Petr Škvor a Róbert Stankovský.
V letech 1997–2009 stál v čele orchestru Leoš Svárovský. Od srpna 2009 je jeho šéfdirigentem Marko
Ivanović. Hlavním hostujícím dirigentem se od koncertní sezony 2009–2010 stal Peter Feranec.
Komorní filharmonie Pardubice spolupracovala s významnými dirigenty světového jména v čeles
Jiřím Bělohlávkem, Marcem Armiliatem a Marrisem Jansonsem; u dirigentského pultu se vystřídali
i další významní čeští i zahraniční dirigenti: Josef Vlach, Vladimír Válek, František Vajnar, Jiří Stárek,
Ondřej Kukal, Petr Vronský, Jaroslav Krček, Albert Rosen, István Dénes, Emin Chačaturjan, Juozas
Domarkas, Arnold Katz, Gérard Oskamp, Martin Lebel, Hilary Griffiths, Peter Feranec a mnozí další.
S orchestrem se představila plejáda špičkových sólistů, např. klavíristé Lazar Berman, Ivan Moravec,
Eugen Indjic, houslisté Vladimir Spivakov, Josef Suk, Václav Snítil, houslistka Isabelle van Keulen,
kytarista Angel Romero, kytaristka María Isabel Siewers, trumpetista Ludwig Güttler, hornisté Peter
Damm, Herrmann Baumann, Zdeněk Tylšar, pěvkyně Helen Donath, Dagmar Pecková a řada dalších.
