A pupil can be retested on the skill the next time they log in by ticking the tick box next to the pupil’s name and clicking on ‘Retest selected’. Problem skills are automatically added back into the pupil’s sessions after a period of 30 days, which reduces the need to manually retest skills as RM Easimaths will do this for the teacher. Groups Groups are managed from the ‘Groups’ screen in the Teacher dashboard. Pupils can log in to RM Easimaths even if they are not added to a group, but it is recommended that all pupils should be added to at least one group. Teachers can create as many or as few groups as required. By grouping pupils, teachers are able to compare the progress of everyone in the group. There can be one group per class or several groups, such as ones for confident mathematicians or those who need extra support. Pupils can belong to more than one group. Adding a group 1. From the Teacher dashboard ‘Groups’ page, click ‘Add group’. 2. The ‘Enter a group name’ box appears. Type in the name of the new group. © RM Education Plc 2012 Page 8 of 22
3. Click ‘OK’. The new group name appears on the ‘Groups’ page, and the teacher will be taken to the ‘Add pupils’ screen (see below). Edit group name To edit the group name, click ‘Edit group’. This will lead to the ‘Add pupils’ screen. Click ‘Edit name’ and a pop-up will appear. Type in the new name and click ‘OK’ (or ‘Cancel’ to leave without any changes). Deleting a group 1. To delete a group, click the cross in the corner of the class button. 2. A warning will appear asking for confirmation of the delete action. Please note that deleting the group will not delete the pupils’ details and reporting information. 3. Click ‘OK’ to delete the group from the system. Adding a pupil to a group 1. To add a pupil to a group, click the group button and click ‘Edit group’. 2. An ‘Add pupils’ pop-up containing a list of all pupils on the system will appear (this will automatically appear when a new group is created). This list can be filtered by age, level or initial, or a teacher may search by entering the pupil’s name in the search box. © RM Education Plc 2012 Page 9 of 22
