Center for Teaching Training, she provides language trainings for the teachers of the city. She<br />
received a diploma from Odessa State University in 1980 with a specialization in ―English<br />
language and literature, Philologist, Interpreter.‖ Ruslana is married and has two sons. Her<br />
hobbies are theater, cooking, and reading. Within the TEA program, she hopes to explore new<br />
methodologies for developing students’ and teachers’ leadership qualities and to engage them in<br />
creative activities.<br />

Rashit Elmuratov has been teaching English at a public secondary school for the past 8 years.<br />
His students range is age from 15-17 years old, and, generally, there are about 30 students in his<br />
class. He has been a member of UzTEA since 2000 and takes an active part in his lyceum’s<br />
cultural and civic activities. He also provides trainings for his peers in teaching methodology and<br />
helps their methodologist to prepare exam materials for their winter and summer terms. He<br />
received a Bachelor’s degree in English in 2000 and a Master’s degree in Linguistics in 2004<br />
from Karakalpak State University. He is married and has a daughter and son. He likes meeting<br />
new people and is interested in learning foreign languages, playing football, and working on the<br />
computer. His main goals for the program are to learn more about the U.S. teaching<br />
methodologies and to develop new ideas and exchange experiences with U.S. English teachers,<br />
in order to make his classes more productive and engage his students to take an active part in his<br />
classes.<br />

Adhamjon Juraev has been teaching English language at a public secondary school for the past<br />
10 years. The age of his students range from 13-16 years old, and on average there are 30<br />
students in his class. Adhamjon is Head of the Development Center in the school, where he<br />
supervises, advises and helps students in their school life. He also organizes extracurricular<br />
activities in English and provides training for his peers in teaching methodology. Adhamjon<br />
received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Fergana State University in 1999. He is married<br />
with two young kids, and his hobbies include playing soccer and reading books. His primary<br />
objective for participating in TEA is to gather new experiences and knowledge, which can make<br />
him a more effective teacher and enable him to teacher higher level English instruction.
