14. OPTIONAL<br />
16.1 Monitoring and Control System or SCADA System<br />
The Scope of the SCADA shall consist of :-<br />
Supply of Required hardware to interface the discrete inputs, discrete outputs, analog<br />
inputs and intelligent RS232/485 interface.<br />
Supply, installation, wiring and commissioning of Programmable logic controller<br />
along with programming software for device interface and control<br />
Supply of Industrial Computer System<br />
Supply, installation and commissioning of Interface media (OFC or Copper) for<br />
Ethernet connectivity between Power station and monitoring center (distance approx.<br />
1200 meters).<br />
Development of GUI based software modules for Supervisory Monitoring, storage<br />
and Control.<br />
14.1.1 Features<br />
i. Acquisition, Monitoring and Storage of:-<br />
Major Power Station Switch Gear ON, OFF and Trip status<br />
Power system parameters (on a LT side) – Voltage, Current, Frequency, Power,<br />
Power factor, Distortion and Energy through RS485 or SNMP of multifunction power<br />
meters.<br />
Health parameters of Ring Main Unit (RMU) controllers<br />
Health parameters (both analog and status) of Feeder Protection Relays<br />
Health parameters and status of Captive Gen Controllers through RS485 or SNMP<br />
Uninterruptible Power supply systems through RS485 or SNMP<br />
ii. Control of:-<br />
Substation Switchgear operation<br />
HT Voltage Regulator operation<br />
LT Automatic Voltage Regulators<br />
Utility / DG Auto Mains failure operation by using DG set controller<br />
For the above defined systems algorithms and procedure will be provided at the<br />
time of designing.<br />
14.1.2 General<br />
The supplier shall use commercially available MMI / HMI SCADA system for<br />
interfacing the devices and development of GUI for monitoring, storage and control.<br />
Developing the drivers for interfacing, compatible RS485/232 and SNMP devices<br />
shall be the scope of the designer / supplier.<br />
MCF will provide the MODBUS protocol query information about the RS485 devices<br />
details wherever available.<br />
NOTE: Bidders must mention in detail about the tech. offer & limitation if any.<br />
