Besides the SQA with Special Commendation, we were also recognised by different organisations
celebrated another significant milestone towards the completion of the blueprint for ’One ITE System,
through the following awards:
Three Colleges’ on 3 February 2012. To celebrate the structural completion of the new ITE Headquarters
and ITE College Central, a symbolic Topping Out Ceremony was held at the roof top of the new block.
grass pitch, a 10-lane Olympic-sized swimming pool, an adventure park, a 1,500-seat auditorium, three
cafeterias and a campus broadcast station, to name a few. The site, spanning over 10 hectares (about
10 football fields), will accommodate 1,400 staff and 10,400 students.
Topping Out Ceremony.
In addition to the awards above, we completed an intensive four-day site assessment in February 2012
as part of the Mid-Cycle Review under the MOE-ITE Quality Assurance Framework (I-QAF)
introduced in 2009. The post-review comments by the six-member External Review Panel were most
encouraging. The Panel applauded us for the ’holistic approach’ and the ’strong internal processes’ we
have in place to drive and implement the Panel’s recommendations made in 2009. In fact, the progress
we have made had ’far exceeded the Panel’s expectations’ during the three-year period.
