MOVING ON
Looking ahead, we are set for another exciting year in FY 2012. With the achievements of
FY 2011 behind us, we look forward to bringing our focus on three key challenges in the
year ahead – enhancing the value and delivery of ITE education; inspiring greater student
excellence and success; and strengthening organisational and staff capabilities.
Guided by ITE Innovate and the FY 2012 Corporate Theme of ‘Celebrating Excellence,
Enhancing Productivity’, we will forge ahead to fulfil the 11 strategic programmes (five of
which were inspired by ITE Innovate) we have planned. Our agenda for the year ahead will
also revolve around these four sub-themes:
• Celebrating Excellence in VTE through our 20th Anniversary celebration, which will mark
another important milestone for ITE since our formation in 1992;
• Enhancing Value of ITE Education through the development of our new ITE Headquarters
and ITE College Central for enhanced authentic learning, as well as the implementation of
a new Career-Cluster Curriculum Model and courses relevant for the changing economy;
• Inspiring Excellence and Productivity through major corporate-wide review of ITE’s systems
and processes to further enhance productivity and promote greater innovations, in line
with ITE Innovate; and
• Extending ITE’s Global Brand Name through the renewal of ITE’s partnership with the
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (KM), Baden-Württemberg, Germany; the signing
of an MOU with Box Hill Institute, Melbourne, Australia; and the hosting of the Singapore
International Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Conference 2012,
which is sponsored by Temasek Foundation.
The targets set reflect our commitment to maximise and create long-term sustainable value
for customers, staff and other stakeholders in our continuing journey of excellence. Through
the programmes mapped out, we will be well-positioned to achieve our vision of becoming A
Global Leader for Innovations in Technical Education by 2014.
