F Y 2 0 1 1 H I G H L I G H T S WITH GUIDING HANDS, WE CAN BREAK NEW grOUNDS Going Global F Y 2 0 1 1 H I G H L I G H T S WITH GUIDING HANDS, WE CAN BREAK NEW grOUNDS The VTC-ITE International Student Seminar is a biennial affair which sees student participants from around the world convene to discuss issues related to the development of the world. This serves as a valuable platform for ITE students to gain exposure in an international setting. In 2011, we had 271 excited ITE students attending the eighth edition of the Seminar, which was jointly organised by the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council and ITE in June, in Hong Kong. The theme for the Seminar was ‘Environmental Protection and Sustainability’. Green Warriors: As part of the Seminar, participants went on a tour of Yan Oi Tong Eco Park Plastic Resources Recycling Centre, in Hong Kong, to find out more about environmental protection and sustainability.
