80 year old Peter Walker, ex-Battle of<br />
Britain pilot, an unexpected new<br />

find the resilience, determination and<br />

wartime experiences, family memories<br />

Fête des Dolmens<br />
<strong>Jersey</strong> Heritage invites you to delve<br />
into the Island’s history, get on board<br />
the “Dolmen bus” and take part in the<br />
Fête des Dolmens. This daylong tour<br />
will explore the Island’s megalithic<br />
monuments. A special bus will leave<br />
La Hougue Bie for a day trip back in<br />
time 6,000 years to the days of<br />
the dolmen builders. Many of these<br />
prehistoric sites were acquired and<br />
excavated by the Société Jersiaise in<br />
the early 20th century and are now<br />
open for the public to enjoy.<br />

Les Prairies Horse Trials<br />
A new addition to the <strong>Jersey</strong> equestrian<br />
events calendar, Les Prairies Horse Trials<br />
has been designed to showcase the best<br />
of <strong>Jersey</strong>’s riders and horses. Spectators<br />
will be able to view all aspects of the<br />
competition across the weekend and<br />
will have full access to the ‘Event Village’<br />
comprising of an array of caterers,<br />
crafts stands, Genuine <strong>Jersey</strong> produce<br />
and family entertainment including face<br />
painting, pony rides and an acoustic<br />
stage. VIP ticket holders will be have<br />
access to ‘The Cube’, a cocktail tent,<br />
overlooking the most exciting of our<br />
cross country fences; the V&V Builders<br />
Water Jump. All monies raised from the<br />
event will go directly to <strong>Jersey</strong> Hospice<br />
Care.<br />
