Medical Care
Visitors’ Medical Treatment UK visitors
to Jersey who fall ill or have an accident
will have to pay for some of the health
services and treatment that they receive.
Emergency treatment provided within
Jersey’s A & E department and the main
hospital is free of charge. However,
outpatients’ appointments, GP visits
and any other health related services
are chargeable. UK visitors are advised
to take out health insurance before
travelling to the island. People with
existing travel or health insurance
policies are advised to check that the
policy covers travel to the Channel
