Where do the locals go?
When you are visiting somewhere new, we all know
the best places are where the local folk love to go.
Fancy somewhere great to eat and drink? Here are
two of Jersey’s favourites, one in St.Helier and one on
the East coast:
On Queens Road, just a short walk from the centre of
town, you’ll find THE INN in all its purple glory. Its award
winning restaurant and bar, are well known for their
excellent quality food at affordable prices and superb
service.
The Restaurant is calm and inviting, with unusual art
adding a fun vibe. You’ll find a real mix of customers and
the staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. THE INN has
some of the best Chefs in Jersey, who will prepare for
you fresh locally caught fish, tender steaks and house
specialities - loads to choose from.
THE INN’s Bar has a great range of wines and real ales,
as well as serving food like Jersey’s biggest homemade
burger or fresh pizzas, and the Live music nights on
Fridays with free tapas are a real treat.
Another place popular with locals as you explore the
Island is the Seymour Inn in Grouville, a traditional Jersey
pub with a warm welcome and great pub grub. The
menu has lots of choice including, unsurprisingly being
surrounded by sea, plenty of delicious fish dishes. The
oysters come from right across the road and you can
even see the oyster beds! The menu has four different
ways to enjoy them – a must!
In Summer the al fresco areas are perfect to enjoy the
beach views with a chilled glass of wine or a pint of real
ale and a tasty bite to eat.
Two Jersey gems, both with excellent food and friendly
service, THE INN and the Seymour Inn won’t disappoint.
