SOFT MENU BUTTONS 4-8<br />

To the right of the LCD are five Soft Menu Buttons. These buttons select a variety of camera status<br />

pages. For complete information refer to OPERATION > REDMOTE MENUS > SOFT MENU BUTTONS<br />

4-8.<br />

Note: In Version 3.x software, Soft Menu Buttons 7 and 8 are undefined.<br />

POWER / KEY LOCK SWITCH<br />

If the REDMOTE is powered OFF, moving and holding the switch in the down (POWER) direction for 2<br />

seconds will power UP the REDMOTE and if the REDMOTE is powered ON, moving and holding the<br />

switch in the down (POWER) direction for 5 seconds will power DOWN the REDMOTE.<br />

Moving the switch to the up (LOCK) position will lockout all REDMOTE buttons to prevent unintentional<br />

operation. When in the LOCK position, KEYS LOCKED will be displayed in red text above the SOFT<br />

MENU BUTTONS 1-3 on the REDMOTE LCD display.<br />

USB POWER PORT<br />

The USB port may be used to charge the REDMOTE internal battery from a suitable USB power source.<br />

Refer to CHARGING / BATTERY LIFE > CHARGING USING USB CONNECTOR for complete<br />

information.<br />

OPERATION<br />

DOCKING AND UNDOCKING<br />

This section describes how to physically dock / undock the REDMOTE to / from the camera Brain or the<br />

back of the rearmost expansion module.<br />

DOCKING<br />

1. Place the female V-Mount of the REDMOTE over the male V-Mount of the camera Brian or rearmost<br />

module.<br />
