Tŷ Ross Nursing and Residential Home
Tŷ Ross Nursing and Residential Home is situated in the village of Treherbert in approximately
one acre of private grounds.
The home has 40 registered beds and provides personal and nursing care for frail, older people
and can accommodate people with more specialised needs such as cancer care, suffering from
a terminal illness or a physical disability. Tŷ Ross welcomes people on a short or long term basis.
The home is fully accessible for wheelchairs, with a lift to gain access to the first and second
floors. No rooms have ensuite facilities. Residents may bring small items of their own furniture
to personalise their room.
The home has 3 lounges, all with television and some with video facilities, together with a private
visitors lounge. A mobile telephone is available for private use. Pets are allowed at the home by
prior arrangement. Garden facilities are also available.
A range of activities are organised on a regular basis including bingo sessions, day trips etc. We
also celebrate special events such as birthdays, St Davids Day, Easter and Christmas. We have
visits from local school children, choirs and Welsh schools, and arrange outings to the club on
Rugby International days and trips to the Millenium Stadium when possible.
The home has regular visits from a doctor, a chiropodist, a dentist, an optician and hairdresser.
