Aspen House Nursing Home
Aspen House is a privately run home situated in the heart of Trallwn village, which is an ideal
location for residents requiring a degree of independence. The home enjoys easy access to local
shops, the village community centre, post office and church. It benefits from a regular bus service
into Pontypridd town, about a mile away.
The home provides both personal and nursing care for older people. It welcomes people on a
short or long term basis and can offer a trial visit to people thinking about moving into the care
home. Respite care is available, subject to availability.
The home offers general nursing care, and can accommodate people with a wide range of
illnesses. We can accommodate people with mental health problems, but only if their physical
needs are greater. It has up to 30 nursing places with a total of 38 registered beds.
All rooms are single and have en-suite bathrooms. There is a television in every room and a
telephone point can be fitted by arrangement. The home has a public telephone for residents'
use.
The home has 4 lounges (one for smokers) and a guest sitting room. There is a lift to all floors.
A range of activities are organised on a regular basis and include singalongs, video shows, soft
ball, bingo and quizzes. The home has a car park for 4 cars and a garden with a patio area.
Aspen House receives regular visits from a doctor, chiropodist, dentist, optician, minister and
hairdresser.
