3 rd <strong>New</strong> Scotland - Leeds 345kV Line<br />

Project Description:<br />
Build one new 26 mile 345 kV circuit between National Grid’s <strong>New</strong> Scotland and Leeds substations. The<br />
project will traverse Albany and Greene Counties. It will be a single circuit transmission line using bundled<br />
1590 ACSR conductor (2x1590 ACSR). The line will utilize or be adjacent to the existing transmission line<br />
corridor to the maximum extent possible. <strong>New</strong> Scotland is located in NYISO Zone F and Leeds is located in<br />
NYISO Zone G.<br />

Voltage: 345kV<br />
Anticipated rating (summer normal MVA @ 345kV): 1986<br />
Terminal Stations and required upgrades:<br />
1. Replace <strong>New</strong> Scotland substation with a 3/2 breaker scheme.<br />
2. Add one line position at the Leeds Station.<br />
