Panasonic has been an Official Worldwide <strong>Olympic</strong> Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment<br />
Category for more than 25 years, providing the <strong>Olympic</strong> Games with state-of-the-art digital audio/<br />
video equipment, such as flat screen TVs, digital video cameras, DVD recorders, large projectors,<br />
professional sound equipment and broadcast products.<br />
The <strong>Olympic</strong> Games have always been at the forefront of AV technology and <strong>London</strong> <strong>2012</strong> was no<br />
exception, with Panasonic also supplying its 3D equipment to the Games, meaning that – through<br />
a 3D technical partnership with the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> and <strong>Olympic</strong> Broadcasting<br />
Services (OBS) – the <strong>London</strong> <strong>2012</strong> <strong>Olympic</strong> Games were the first Games ever to be broadcast in 3D.<br />
Sharing the Passion<br />
Under the slogan ‘Sharing the Passion’, Panasonic contributed to the success of the <strong>Olympic</strong> Games<br />
with its technology and video expertise, from large screen displays, audio and broadcast equipment<br />
at the event venues to supplying top-of-the-range cameras, recorders and plasma displays to<br />
support the training programmes of athletes, such as the British sailing team and heptathlete Louise<br />
Hazel. With its audio-visual equipment, Panasonic aimed to deliver the thrills of the <strong>Olympic</strong> Games<br />
in HD and 3D and ‘Share the Passion’ of the Games with people all over the world.
