After reviewing old business, the main topic of
discussion revolved around the membership of
other group organizations within PIA and their
relationship to PIA. At present there are two other
organizations that are members of PIA. They are
the Australian Parachute Federation, a full member,
and the recently joined German DFV. An
application had been received from the United
States Base Association from Jean Boenish. She
wanted to know if by joining there would be a
conflict of interests. This was an issue that would
have repercussions on other group applications as
well.
After much discussion, those present felt that
membership by other member organizations such as
USA and foreign Aero Clubs was entirely
appropriate. PIA serves as a forum for those
organizations to interact with the International
Parachute Industry to keep their members abreast of
advances in technology and to offer feedback to the
PIA members concerning their products and
services. The level of membership would be
according to the applicant's level of involvement
and financial commitment.

There was no new business. The Code of
Professional Responsibility has not yet been put
on the website. but it will be.
It will be included in the information package made
available to all new members also.
