It was not possible to conduct a detailed comparison of the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>funds</strong> dedicated to road projects<br />
and those dedicated to other (non-road) transport projects within the framework of the present<br />
document due to lack of data.<br />
Nevertheless, as indicated in section 3.2.3 above, the major part of the <strong>funds</strong> used <strong>for</strong> transport<br />
sector interventions by the External Cooperation Funds in third countries (estimated at about 70-<br />
80%) was devoted to road projects.<br />
