Don Ross
Director of Operations and Project Manager
Don Ross has more than 24 years of experience
managing solid waste collection and transfer
operations for both private and public sector
organizations.
Prior to joining Kessler, Don was the Solid Waste
Division Director for the City of Dunedin, Florida
where he oversaw the management of municipal
collection operations for the city.
Prior to moving to Florida with his family, Don
held a variety of management level positions
with private sector waste companies, including
13 years with Waste Management, Inc., where
Don was the Connecticut Market Area Director of
Operations. At Waste Management, Don was
responsible for three collection hauling
companies, three solid waste transfer stations,
150 collection routes, and 250 employees at four
operations serving Southwest Connecticut where
Don had profit and loss responsibility for $60
million in annual revenues.
At KCI, Don has managed or assisted with the

modifications, and multiple Board presentations. Based on recent Board approval, KCI is
now assisting the city with the development of a competitive procurement for collection
services, which will be valued at approximately $500 million over the life of the contract.
Operations Assessment and Disposal Contracting, Hallandale Beach, FL
Don managed a project assessing city-operated collection programs and negotiating
