Preparing To Drive<br />
Preparing to Drive :<br />
The following checks and adjustments should be carried out<br />
before you start driving the car.<br />
• Ensure that the windshield, all mirrors, windows and outside<br />
lights are clean. Check & adjust rear view mirrors.<br />
• Ensure that the windshield washer reservoir is full.<br />
• Ensure that the bonnet is properly closed.<br />
Do not put excessive pressure on top of bonnet to<br />
avoid damage.<br />
• Release the parking brake.<br />
• Check that any items that you may be carrying<br />
inside, are fully secured.<br />
• Check & adjust seat.<br />
• Ensure that all doors are locked properly.<br />
• Fasten seat belt properly.<br />
• Ensure that all gauges and indicator lights are<br />
working.<br />
• Check for blind areas being unobstructed in front<br />
and rear of the car.<br />
• Before driving off check in the rear view mirror,<br />
for oncoming traffic. Switch on side indicator<br />
signal when getting into main stream of traffic.<br />
Running-in instructions :<br />
During running-in period i.e. first 1000 km. follow the runningin<br />
instructions given below :<br />
A. 1. After starting the engine do not rev it up.<br />
Warm up gradually at idling speed.<br />
2. Avoid sudden acceleration and full throttle.<br />
3. It is always preferred not to rev up a cold engine lest<br />
engine bearings get affected.<br />
B. Recommended car speeds during running-in period for<br />
diesel and petrol versions :<br />
