EGR System (if installed)<br />
To reduce exhaust pollution from your car, the engine is provided with<br />
exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.<br />
The engine is fitted with EGR pipe, vacuum tubes, EGR<br />
electropneumatic switch, EGR switch on FIP throttle lever and<br />
associated electical circuitary. With this, controlled amount of exhaust<br />
gas is mixed with intake air of the engine, in part load and part speed<br />
conditions. This helps in reducing harmful pollutants.<br />

In addition to EGR System your car is also fitted with diesel oxydation<br />
catalytic convertor to reduce exhaust pollution.<br />

Use diesel fuel with sulphur content less than 0.035%. Use of<br />
any other diesel fuel can increase the pollutants.<br />
