Rågsved’s axial models look similar. In terms of geometry and connectivity, little
change has been made in Rågsved. Therefore, we observe no significant difference
between the proposal and existing (figure 7.6). However, the proposal includes new
street both on the north and south of the centrum. The reason why such a resemblance
between two model happens is that the new streets are located in the places
where now pedestrian paths are. Accordingly, the axial models which are generated
on basis of sightlines do not change substantially. It is necessary to consider architecture
of the Rågsved centrum. Obviously, it obstructs the sightlines and provides
no help to flow of people into the centrum. Thus, to change the situation, bigger
interventions are necessary that create a locale centre with better visibility attribute.
After examining the proposal under space syntax, we have almost reached to the
end of study. Yet it remains questionable whether accessibility problem has been
addressed properly or not by the proposals? Seeing space syntax as a general assessment
of accessibility, minor changes have happened in the case studies. The reason
should be sought in the type of intervention applied to the cases. The proposal focused
on streets but buildings were left unaltered. This was of course a self-defined
precondition in order to propose a more realistic approach. But confined to work
