In dealing with accessibility, the study revolved around street pattern to discern how
movement pattern as an intrinsic part of accessibility is being formed by urban form.
But our way of access is profoundly structured by the points of departure and destination.
In this connection, building morphology takes a prime position including
building entrance, block’s spatial organization and the relation between building and
street. Even though the place syntax as a part of analyses, takes building morphology
into account, but in the design proposal only the centrums as destinations are
suggested to develop. Nevertheless it must be noted that any attempt to comprehend
space as the context of accessibility cannot be perfected without considering two
fundamental human spatial behaviours: occupation of space and movement in space
(Marcus 2000).
A more basic question may rise about the correlation between spatial equity and accessibility.
At the outset, I premised that enhancing accessibility brings about a more
equitable environment. In this regard, spatial equity refers to equitable territorial
distribution. This definition embodies a reduction in the meaning of spatial equity.
Therefore, if the purpose is to attain a spatially equitable environment, we need to
