g. <strong>The</strong> employee's signed acknowledgement that he/she has received <strong>and</strong><br />

read a copy of <strong>the</strong> Resident Rights;<br />

h. Job orientation documentation as required;<br />

i. in-service training documentation.<br />

308.6 Employment applications <strong>for</strong> each employee must contain sufficient in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

to support placement in <strong>the</strong> position to which each employee is assigned.<br />

308.7 Written job descriptions must be developed <strong>for</strong> each employee classification (e.g.,<br />

administrator, housekeepers, etc.), <strong>and</strong> shall include, as a minimum:<br />

a. <strong>The</strong> responsibilities <strong>and</strong>/or actual work to be per<strong>for</strong>med in each<br />

classification;<br />

b. <strong>The</strong> educational qualifications;<br />

c. <strong>The</strong> physical requirements necessary to per<strong>for</strong>m <strong>the</strong> essential functions of<br />

<strong>the</strong> job; <strong>and</strong><br />

d. <strong>The</strong> licenses or certificates required <strong>for</strong> each job classification.<br />

309 ADMISSION, DISCHARGE AND TRANSFER<br />

<strong>The</strong> facility must not admit or continue to care <strong>for</strong> residents whose needs are greater than <strong>the</strong><br />

facility is licensed to provide. If necessary services cannot be obtained in or by <strong>the</strong> facility, <strong>the</strong><br />

resident <strong>and</strong>/or responsible party will be notified to seek alternate placement immediately. <strong>The</strong><br />

facility administrator should assist in helping to locate a facility that can provide <strong>the</strong> appropriate<br />

level of care.<br />

309.1 <strong>The</strong> facility must develop <strong>and</strong> implement written admission policies <strong>and</strong> criteria<br />

that include, as a minimum, requirements that <strong>the</strong> applicant/resident:<br />

a. Be eighteen (18) years of age or older;<br />

b. Be independently mobile as defined in Section 100;<br />

c. Be able to self-administer medications as outlined in Section 601;<br />

d. Be capable of underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>and</strong> responding to reminders <strong>and</strong> guidance<br />

from staff;<br />

e. Is not totally incontinent of bowel <strong>and</strong> bladder;<br />

f. Does not have a feeding or intravenous tube;<br />

g. Does not have a communicable disease that poses a direct threat to <strong>the</strong><br />

health or safety of o<strong>the</strong>r residents or staff;<br />
