the square to the box by dabbing small bits of
adhesive to the paper edge. Then curl additional
pieces to adhere inside the square. To create the
double swirls, curl one end of the paper half way,
then turn and curl the other end of the paper the
opposite way. You can twirl and curl paper to create
anything you’d like. Just look at the bow on the
Birthday box. We only used two strips of paper to
create the whole thing.
Now, when you’re ready to step things up even
more, it’s time to try quilling letters. Although it
may be a little more complicated than our other
projects, quilling letters and other shapes really
isn’t as difficult as it looks. You wrap the ends you
want curled, and then softly shape the rest of the
paper into the desired figure. Try it yourself and
see how easy it really is.
Just as you come to understand science when you
test it, the more techniques you test, the more you
will learn about your skill as a papercrafter. Give
