need to monitor demand and as population and demand increases consider<br />

upgrading to a major district facility.<br />

2 Belli Park – Cooloolabin –<br />

Gheerulla – Coolabine<br />

1,265 No facility Low population spread across a large area. The population base within this<br />

locality is serviced by facilities at Kenilworth, Eumundi and Nambour.<br />

3 Black Mountain –<br />

Ridgewood<br />

1,746 No facility Dispersed, largely rural population. The rural living area within this locality is<br />

serviced by community facilities at Pomona, Eumundi and Cooroy.<br />

4 Bli Bli – Rosemount and<br />

district<br />

9,381 No facility The population base within this locality is serviced by facilities located at<br />

Palmwoods, Nambour, Buderim and Cotton Tree.<br />

5 Buderim – Kuluin – Mons –<br />

28,132 Buderim <strong>Aquatic</strong> Centre This locality receives strong growth to <strong>2026</strong>. Consider arrangements with<br />

the adjacent Buderim Mountain State School to improve community access<br />

opportunities and better utilise this space as an aquatic precinct. High provision<br />

of non-council facilities service specific market segments in this locality.<br />

small urban living area. This locality is serviced by the facility at Pomona.<br />
