VERITAS ® MAGNETIC
SAW GUIDES
These saw guides are
manufactured using precision-machined
aluminium
extrusion. Each reference
surface has an embedded
3/4” rare-earth magnet
and is covered with a lowfriction
UHMW pad. The magnets keep the saw aligned as you cut;
the pads allow the saw to slide easily against the reference surface.
The clamp can accommodate material from 1/4” to 1” thick. The
guides can be used with any backless saw that has approximately
0.005” or less of tooth set.
Our dovetail saw is a suitable
companion. With a 2”
x 8-1/2”, 22 tpi blade, the
dozuki tooth form is effective
in both crosscuts and
rip cuts.

VERITAS ® PREMIUM CROSSCUT SAWS
Filed with alternating bevel angles that sever rather than tear wood
fibres for clean cuts in cross-grain applications, our crosscut saw has
16 teeth per inch. The teeth have 15° rake and bevel angles.
VERITAS ® PREMIUM DOVETAIL SAWS
Features rip-cut teeth that have a rake angle of 14° and an included
angle of 60°. The 14 tpi dovetail is most efficient with stock thicker
than 1/2”, while the 20 tpi version is best for stock under 1/2” thick.
VERITAS ® RIP & CROSSCUT CARCASS SAWS
Typically used to cut joints in drawer runners, dividers, and stretchers.
The 12 tpi rip saw has a 10° rake angle and an included angle of
60°. The 14 tpi crosscut saw has a rake angle of 15° and an included
angle of 60°.
VERITAS ® GENT’S SAWS
Intended for those who wanted good-quality tools for occasional
work. Our Gent’s saws have a 200mm long high-carbon blade that is
just 0.015” thick with 0.003” of teeth set per side. The 20 tpi rip saw
has a 14° rake angle and a 60° included angle. The teeth on the 22tpi
saw have 15° rake and bevel angles and an included angle of 60°.
Both saws have a cut depth of 40mm.
