1 GENERAL<br />

1.1 Scope of Work<br />

The work to be included in these specifications will be as mentioned in the<br />

standard bidding documents<br />

1.2 Drawings<br />

1.2.1 Tender Drawings<br />

A number of Contract Drawings available at the date of Tender is included in the List<br />

of Drawings attached to these specifications. All work shall be performed in<br />

accordance (with the Drawings furnished together with the Contract) documents and<br />

any such additional Drawings as may be issued by the Engineer from time to time<br />

during the progress of the work. Additional Drawings, (if any), will be furnished to<br />

the Contractor in due time so as to enable the Contractor to perform the work shown<br />

thereon in its proper sequence and for any advance planning that may be necessary for<br />

the efficient performance of such work. The Engineer will decide in such instance<br />

whether additional Drawings are required for advance planning of the Works and<br />

determine the time required for the same.<br />

All lines, elevations and measurements shown on the drawing are approximate and<br />

are intended to be used for tendering only. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to<br />

verify and determine the exact lines, grades and elevations to the approval of the<br />

Engineer before commencing any section of the Works.<br />

1.2.2 Shop Drawings<br />

The Engineer shall have authority to order at any time and the Contractor agrees to<br />

provide at his own expense any number of shop drawings which, in the opinion of the<br />

Engineer, are necessary for the proper execution of a specified work. The Contractor<br />

shall not proceed with the above mentioned work unless these shop drawings are<br />

approved by the Engineer.<br />
