Bursaries and NSFAS study loans<br />

Step 1: Funding applications submitted by students (1 August-17 September 2012)<br />

Step 2: All applicants must ensure that they submit their provisional registrations during the following dates:<br />

• First semester: 3 December 2012-9 January <strong>2013</strong><br />

• Second semester: 17-21 June <strong>2013</strong><br />

First-time students who apply for NSFAS funding may register for a maximum <strong>of</strong> three modules per semester.<br />

Step 3: Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be informed via SMS <strong>of</strong> the outcome <strong>of</strong> their<br />

application. Successful applicants must sign relevant bursary/loan documents at their nearest <strong>Unisa</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong>fice during the following dates.<br />

• First semester: 14-18 January <strong>2013</strong><br />

• Second semester: 24-28 June <strong>2013</strong><br />

Step 4: Any applicant who did not receive any SMS notification by either 18 January <strong>2013</strong> (first semester) or<br />

28 June <strong>2013</strong> (second semester) must enquire at their nearest <strong>Unisa</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice during these dates:<br />

• First semester: 21-25 January <strong>2013</strong><br />

• Second semester: 1-5 July <strong>2013</strong><br />
