Turnover in the past two years has been fairly constant, at around 11%. The highest rate
of turnover is has been in the male 18-25 year age group. Toyota’s turnover rate is lower
than other OEM’s, but turnover for Technical Experts and Artisans remains the biggest
area of concern. Due to the increasing skills shortage in South Africa, technical expertise,
embodied in artisans and engineers, is in high demand.
